Low Rentals Attract Major Players

Economic rentals designed to provide fledgling businesses with low start-up costs are now attracting major South Yorkshire business names.

In just over a year since launching, TLB Properties’ 30 plus-acre Riverdale Business Park on Wheatley Hall Road, is now full to capacity with tenant companies, including blue chip clients.

TLB commercial property manager Tim Lenton said: “We have deliberately offered rentals as low as £3.00 a square foot to help small and new companies get off the ground. And while start-up firms are by far the biggest sector of the Riverdale portfolio, we are now happy to have bigger players including Polypipe and Strata taking space.”

Mr Lenton added: “In total, the business area now covers 80,000 square feet and it’s a remarkable achievement in just over a year. But it is also another powerful pointer to the continued resurgence of the town.”
